Feminist, that’s the notorious “f” word. That word can strike up fear, stereotypes, and division among women. I know from personal experience I was hesitant to claim myself as a feminist. Once I finally claimed it as part of my identity, I found myself having to explain that I wasn’t a man-hating lesbian who doesn’t shave or wear a bra. I found it even more difficult to explain that feminism doesn’t go against the word of God. Christ created man and woman as equals, so treating each other as such is the will of God.
